Ez-Boards have switched to the Yuku platform. Some folks are not too happy about this hence the officers have made the difficult decision to move away from the
current forums onto a new address.
The address is -
www.shining-alliance.com/forum/
- Please bookmark it at your first opportunity.
When you enter the forums you will need to register and in a short space of time you will be granted appropriate access. Please begin to post exclusively onto the new boards as soon as you have registered on them.
We apologize if you have become attached to EZ-boards, but we felt this was a perfect opportunity to move away from a subscribed operation where the service, to be frank, is not guaranteed. "EZ-boards have converted to Yuku, which attempts to be a blog (i.e. Blogger or Wordpress), a social web site (i.e. Myspace or Facebook) and a message board. Unfortunately, Yuku does none of the three well. Thus, now seems like a good time to move to a popular and well-tested forum software package (phb) and integrate our forums with our webpage."
We now have a dedicated host, provided by Jimall. It is fast, there will be no advertisements, it costs nothing (to us), it looks and feels better, it is configurable to our needs AND and we have the comfort in knowing that if anything goes wrong Jimall (and his support) will be able to fix it. And the new boards are directly linked as part of our existing website.

Now, the only negative news is that we will not be able to copy all the wonderful memories that have collected over the many years whilst SA has been housed on EZ-boards. All existing posts will have to be copied by hand individually, you will appreciate that this is a time consuming process. Also when something is copied over to the new boards it loses its original posting details (naturally because it becomes a new post there). However Jimall has copied over the main guiding/directional posts that are sticked on these boards. Do not panic or despair, you are completely free to copy and paste anything you think you would hate to lose whether you posted it originally or not. You will have to make the new boards your home, and you can only do this by personalizing them the way you want to.
New memories will be created and posted for posterity on the new boards. Our current memories will remain on the EZ-boards, however we shall try to disable new postings on the Shining Alliance EZ-boards from Friday February 4th 2008. As far as we know the Shining Alliance EZ-boards/Yuku will always remain for us as an archive to review for as long as we like, we will do our best to keep the boards. There will be many links on the new boards to these old ones.
We will 'spam' an email to all registered users of SA EZ-boards letting everyone know that we are moving, and we will post our new address here so that old friends will still be able to find us at our new home. We will lose nothing, and we will leave no-one behind.
Don't hesitate to speak to an officer about this situation, and don't worry. Remember that change can be a good thing, we believe that this one is.
